Rowley Municipal Lighting Plant (RMLP) offers several incentives and rebates through a program with Energy New England Conserve for customers purchasing selected energy efficient ENERGY STAR-rated appliances. ENERGY STAR appliances have been defined by the Department of Energy as being significantly more energy efficient than the average comparable model. The rebate is issued as a credit to your account with RMLP.

YARD EQUIPMENT REBATES FOR ROWLEY
Rowley Municipal Lighting Plant (RMLP) offers several rebates and incentives through a program with Energy New England (ENE) for customers purchasing qualifying electric yard equipment. The program promotes electrification and reduction of carbon emissions.
Plug-in Electric Vehicles (EVs) affordable and efficient. Compared to gasoline vehicles, EVs are less costly to operate and maintenance is cheaper and simpler. Receive up to $7,500 in federal tax credits for buying a new Electric Vehicle (or up to $4,000 for pre-owned vehicles).
All-electric, plug-in hybrid, and fuel cell electric vehicles purchased new in 2023 or after may be eligible for a federal income tax credit of up to $7,500. In accordance with new IRS regulations, beginning January 1, 2024, Clean Vehicle Tax Credits must be initiated and approved at the time of sale. Buyers are advised to obtain a copy of the IRS’s confirmation that a “time-of-sale” report was submitted successfully by the dealer.

The program pays a rebate of 60¢ per watt, or up to a total of a $6,000 maximum match for qualifying 0-10kw Solar Power Systems for primary residences in Rowley.
